The Foot Abduction Brace (FAB)
The boots and bar system is called the Foot Abduction Brace (FAB). This is used after the casting phase of treatment and is central to the Ponseti Method. The casting reshaped the foot(s) back to normal and now the brace is used to maintain the correct shape.
The FAB can be recycled for other clubfoot children to use! As your child goes through their treatment journey, and they outgrow their boots, please consider donating them to be recycled!
